2012 Summary

Ugh, sorry for the mess. My handwriting is large and terrible. Anyways!



January: Not much to say about this one. Experimented with lighting, mostly. Characters are Nadesna and Ameni.

February: Experimented with backgrounds, this time. I never was good at those... Backgrounds and anatomy. Also one of the first "mature" (if a bit of boobs is really considered mature) pics I put on here. Characters are Emrys and Alessio.

March: This is probably one of my favorite pictures I've ever done. I messed with a mixture of traditional and digital shading, with a texture. This pic was one of those epic "OMG I LOVE HOW THIS CAME OUT" pictures that every artist loves to do. Sadly, it was also one of those lucky flukes that i haven't been able to repeat with the same results... But hey, I'm tryin'. XD

April: Rennaissance Faire month for my sister and I, and she had a cute little faceless zibellino. Soooo, she asked if I could possible make a mask for it, since that's what they did back in the good ol' days of plague anyways. I was fascinated with scultping and metalwroking for a while, but it died. I still work with it every now and then, though. c:

May: More Renaissance Faires. This one was taken driving home from Oklahoma. I have a thing for taking "artsy fartsy" photos, but their certainly not professional. I just do it for fun, and if it looks cool, I'll post it. XD

June: Just experimented with different coloring techniques. This one was a try at a watercolor effect. Characters are Emrys and Ameni.

July: I didn't draw much in July. I'm not sure why. Or at least, I didn't draw anything that I found worth posting. Just a bunch of doodles really, and this one was the best of the bunch. Characters are Bandele, Nadesna (Des), and Corliam (le baby). XD

August: Back to school, and I didn't do much more than doodles, but I managed to get some of them colored. Character is Derek.

September: By this time, I'd done some sketches for art class in school. Practiced some realism here. The model is Theo Theodoridis.

October: Not sure why I didn't draw much in October either. I waaaannna say I was busy with school.. I think that was the month I had Renaissance Faires and a lot of projects to get done for school, so I was swamped and didn't have much motivation to do anything beyond sketches. So here's some naked Ameni under a waterfall...? I might finish this one sometime. XD

November: Happy 18th to me! This month was more experimenting with techniques. I tried a different lineart in Gimp with that one, and I did a lot of Inuyasha fanart. Hence Sesshoumaru and Rin, my favorite characters. ♥

December: Got a Wacom Bamboo Create tablet, which came with PS Elements 8! I didn't exactly have the pen pressure feature down to a science when I did this pic, and it was mostly filter/coloring experimentation. Which is why it sucks. I've done better things in PS since. XDD



So, that's my 2012 in a nutshell. Not much improvement, but then again, I didn't draw very much. Maybe drawing/coloring more will be one of my New Year's resolutions. XD
